Carmel, IN – – When SePRO Corporation recently sought a leader to bring two key turf products to the forefront of the golf industry, the most deserving candidate proved to already be an integral part of the company. The search culminated with Dr. Todd Bunnell’s promotion to the role of Turf & Ornamental Research Manager/Golf Market Manager. The promotion expands Bunnell’s current T&O research and development responsibilities while establishing him as SePRO’s liaison to the U.S. Golf Market. Bunnell will lead the company’s golf-industry marketing and product-management efforts, focusing on Cutless* 50W and Legacy*, two turf-growth regulation products that form the cornerstone of SePRO’s golf course product line.
According to William H. Culpepper, President and CEO of SePRO Corporation, the move reflects the company’s confidence in Legacy being the new generation of turf growth regulators and the continued momentum of Cutless 50W, which has become the premier program for rejuvenating golf fairways and greens by reducing Poa annua populations.
“We have been very pleased with Todd’s performance since he joined SePRO,” said Culpepper. “Todd’s field research influence on SePRO’s re-launch of Cutless 50W and market expansion with Cutless .33G in landscape ornamentals was significant, and we are confident that his expanded marketing influence over the golf products will continue the growth of both Cutless 50W and our new Legacy product.”
With his expanded marketing and product-management responsibilities, Bunnell will report to Roger Storey, SePRO’s Vice President of Turf & Ornamental Business. In addition, Bunnell will continue his work with the Turf & Ornamental Research Program, reporting to Dr. Steve Cockreham, SePRO’s Vice President of Research and Regulatory Affairs. "Todd has shown an ability to not only conduct excellent research, but to also effectively market his research to capture value for the industry." said Cockreham.
“I am grateful and excited about the opportunity to become more involved in product management and marketing activities within SePRO while maintaining my current responsibilities in R&D," said Bunnell. "I look forward to helping SePRO grow and expand Cutless 50W, Legacy and all future products in the golf market.”
Dr. Todd Bunnell joined SePRO in January, 2004 after completing his Masters and Ph.D. at Clemson University. Bunnell relocated to SePRO headquarters in Carmel, IN with his wife Kristin and, since joining SePRO, has become the proud father of daughter Brooke, now one year old.
