     Slow play, a key barrier to participation and enjoyment on the golf course, was the focus of the second annual Pace of Play Symposium. Discussing different methods and newly-designed technologies, tee-time interval and group monitoring were highlighted as important tactics for reducing playtime. For instance, the LPGA “adjusted starting-time intervals from 10 minutes to 11 minutes for three-players [sic] groupings and implemented a new policy for monitoring pace… [resulting] in a reduction of average playing time by 14 minutes in 2014.”
