Endocide Field Day Held in Texas

Attendees at the Red River Waterway Comission’s Aquatic Research Center learned how endocides work and received an overview of their production, application and results. “This method, like the use of weevils, so far, appears to be environmentally friendly, and it adds another tool in our tool box,” said Allie Cozad, Research Biologist for the RRWC. Developed through the cooperation of RRWC and SFASU, Steve Bullard, dean of the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture, called the recent discovery “a great example of the power of collaborative research and application with a focus on eradicating the spread of a dangerously invasive plant in our lakes and waterways.”
