Trained by the Department of Recreation and Conservation (DCR) Lakes and Ponds Program and Lycott Environmental, Weed Watchers, “work to prevent infestations of exotic invasive aquatic plants by identifying and monitoring existing populations of all plants and heading off new invasive populations before they can take hold.” This most recent survey will cover the lake’s southern half, recording the locations and abundance of both native and non-native submerged aquatic plants.
