     Two groups of students from Burnsville High School will be attending international competitions after winning in regional contests, and one of them is going for her work in restricting the growth of Duckweed.

Claire Wentzlaff, Junior, and Seniors Connor Van Dorpe and Braxton Kukulka, will be attending the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), while Hannah Holmstrom, Sophmore, will be attending the International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, Environment Project Olympiad (ISWEEP).

     While the seniors are going as alternatives, and Holmstrom for her study of alternative protein sources and their effect on the environment, Wentzlaff will be attending due to her project involving restricting the growth of Lemna minor, or duckweed. And this isn't her first time going either, as Wentzlaff also attended ISEF last year as a finalist.
