Update: Cayuga Lake Inlet Hydrilla Treatment

     New York - After being treated with an herbicide on July 29, a few hydrilla plants in the Cayuga Lake Inlet are still green and growing. In response, follow up treatment is scheduled for mid-August, and James Balyszak, the Hydrilla Project Manager, says his keeping his eye on the few surviving plants. "We're going to be monitoring those very closely." Fluridone will be used in the upcoming round of treatment, any remaining plants will be dug up by hand, then infestations will be circled  with nets to prevent fragments from dispersing.
